Councilwoman Aleta Ostrander, along with her husband Mike, have been residents of Hatboro for 28 years. They have raised three children in the community, raising their family to be as involved in their community as they have been.

Aleta graduated from Temple University, and currently works in the rehabilitation department at Moss Rehab. Aleta has served her Community in several capacities over the past 28 years. These service roles include time on borough council, where she served on the public safety, finance, and library committees, as well as various other volunteer groups to help the community grow. While serving on council she worked closely on police contracts and public works, along with emergency management to make sure her community was safe. Aleta also severed several years as the president, vice-president and then treasurer for the Union Library of Hatboro.

Her love for community welfare did not end there. She is a long time member of the Red Cross and was a girl scout leader for eight years. Aleta continues to serve as a member of Heart 9-11, rebuilding after natural disasters and helping communities who have fallen into poverty overseas.

Councilwoman Ostrander serves as the chair of the Public Safety Committee and as a member of the Public Works Committee.
