SUMMARY:Hatboro's Hungry Hideaway - Williams Lane Outdoor Dining
DESCRIPTION:Due to the success of the Williams Lane Dining Area in 2020\, Hatboro Borough Council with the support of the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce\, and the Hatboro Business Community are bringing the Hatboro Hungry Hideaway back for 2021! This year\, the Hungry Hideaway will be available for dining 7 days a week from May 1\, 2021 to September 22\, 2021. \nAs a result\,  Williams Lane will be closed to traffic from York Road to the rear entrance of Bernie’s from May 1\, 2021 through September 22\, 2021. \nPlease note\, there will be no through traffic on Williams Lane between York Road and Orchard Avenue during the above-mentioned timeframes. Please make sure all parked cars are moved from Williams Lane prior to May 1\, 2021 to allow Public Works to set up the dining area. \nThis initiative was initially created to help local businesses during COVID-19 restrictions and was a success in 2020. In order to continue helping local businesses flourish and provide residents/visitors with a unique outdoor gathering space\, this dining initiative was brought back for 2021. \nAs in 2020\, the dining area will be filled with picnic tables\, greenery\, lights\, and more to allow patrons of the businesses to purchase takeout from their favorite restaurants and to enjoy outdoor meals. \nAny restaurants who normally receive deliveries via Williams Lane are encouraged to inform delivery companies of this closure. \nThe Borough of Hatboro has notified police\, fire\, and EMS personnel of this road closure to assure they are aware in the event of an emergency. \nThank you for your cooperation in this matter and we hope to see everyone enjoying their favorite foods with a side of fresh air this summer!

DESCRIPTION:The Hatboro Rotary will be holding their annual Lobster Pot event on Saturday\, September 11\, 2021 from 4 PM to 10 PM in Memorial Park (behind Hatboro Memorial Pool). \nAttendees have the choice of a lobster or steak dinner for $40.00 and children are welcome for a free hot dog dinner. \nTickets are available for purchase at Hatboro Federal and through your local Rotarians. All proceeds to this event will benefit local community charities. \nOn this day\, there will be increased traffic and street parking due to the number of attendees for this event (400 are expected). We are encouraging attendees to park in the Memorial Park parking lot and the Memorial Pool parking lot; however\, if you see any cars parked illegally or blocking driveways\, please call the non-emergency line for the Hatboro Police Department (215-675-2832). \nThis event is a great way to interact with people from the Hatboro Community while having a great time and we hope to see you there! \nAbout the Rotary:\nRotary members join together around a shared responsibility to take action on the most pertinent issues going on in our world. “We provide service to others\, promote integrity\, and advance world understanding\, goodwill\, and peace through our fellowship of business\, professional\, and community leaders” (rotary.org).
