The 2025 First Friday event schedule is as follows: \n\n4/4/2025\n5/2/2025\n6/6/2025\n8/1/2025\n9/5/2025\n10/3/2025\n11/7/2025\n12/5/2025\n\nPlease stay tuned for more information on specific activities for each date! \n  \nAfter many long years\, First Friday Events are back in Hatboro! Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce\, First Fridays are designed to bring foot-traffic to Hatboro through offering extended operating hours of local businesses\, sidewalk sales\, specials from local restaurants\, activities\, and more! \nAfter the inaugural First Friday event took place on April 4\, 2025\, the Borough received extremely positive feedback from the Chamber\, businesses\, and residents alike. Among the comments received\, a large majority of residents requested the return of the Hungry Hideaway Williams Lane outdoor dining area that was organized by the Borough in 2020 and 2021. This dining area closed off a portion of Williams Lane to vehicular traffic to create an outdoor seating area for attendees of events to enjoy local fare from their favorite businesses throughout the summer months. \nThe Borough is extremely excited to announce that outdoor seating areas will return for all First Friday events – this time with an exciting twist: outdoor seating areas will be offered on Williams Lane AND East Monument Avenue on a rotating schedule. The first Hungry Hideaway of 2025 will be held on Williams Lane on the following dates: \n• Friday\, May 2\, 2025 – 6:30 AM on Monday\, May 5\, 2025: Dining area will be held on Williams Lane \nIn order to facilitate these outdoor seating areas\, there will be special traffic restrictions and road closures as follows. \nWilliams Lane Dining Area\nThe Williams Lane Dining Area is located on Williams Lane between York Road and the rear entrance of Ross N Co’s Driveway (as pictured on the below map.) \n \nAs noted\, above\, the Williams Lane Dining Area will be open for visitors for the first time in 2025 from May 2nd through May 5th at 6:30 AM. In order to make this dining area possible\, Williams Lane from York Road to the Ross N Company Driveway will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 1:00 PM on Friday\, May 2nd to allow Public Works to set up the outdoor dining area. Please note\, once this portion of road is closed\, there will be no through traffic on Williams Lane between York Road and Orchard Avenue. \nResidents and business owners are asked to remove all parked vehicles from Williams Lane prior to 1:00 PM on May 2nd to allow Public Works to set up the dining area. Meter bags will be placed on the meters prior to this time as well to deter on-street parking in the impacted area. \nPublic Works will remove the dining area and reopen Williams Lane during the morning of May 5th. We are expecting the road to be reopened by 6:30 AM on this morning; however\, the exact time will be dependent on weather and staffing. \nAny restaurants who normally receive deliveries via Williams Lane are encouraged to inform delivery companies of this closure if these vendors will be visiting your business any time during these closures. \nThe Borough has notified police\, fire\, and EMS personnel of this road closure to assure they are aware in the event of an emergency. \nShould you have any questions\, regarding this closure\, please contact Borough Hall at 215-443-9100. \nFuture Hungry Hideaway Events:\nAs noted above\, the Borough of Hatboro will be opening the Hungry Hideaway outdoor dining area for each First Friday event of 2025. Throughout the summer\, this dining area will rotate between Williams Lane and East Monument Avenue to provide outdoor dining areas near businesses on both sides of our main street district. The Borough is currently working on a schedule for the remainder of the summer. We will release information on the remaining dates and information on the new East Monument dining area in the coming weeks.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Public Safety Committee of Borough Council and Borough Staff on Tuesday\, May 13\, 2025 at 7:00 PM for a special Town Hall meeting to discuss On-Street Parking Regulations throughout Hatboro. This Town Hall will be taking place at the Pennypack Community Center\, 130 Spring Avenue\, Hatboro\, PA 19040. \nIn recent months\, Borough Council has received feedback from residents\, Public Safety Officials\, and Staff regarding on-street parking issues taking place on streets that are more narrow than others throughout the Borough. These  streets currently permit street parking on both sides of the road which creates a very narrow lane for vehicular traffic at times. To date\, Borough Council has received requests to examine and revisit on-street parking regulations on the following streets: Rorer Avenue\, Drexel Road\, Park Avenue\, Springdale Avenue\, Oakdale Avenue\, and Loller Road. \nBorough Council is welcoming residents living throughout the Borough to discuss the abovementioned streets in addition to discussing any other on-street parking issues residents may have encountered recently in the Borough. \nBorough Council wishes to obtain as much feedback as possible from residents in order to determine possible parking amendments in areas of the Borough\, the need for any traffic studies in certain areas\, etc. \nWe hope to see you there! \nA copy of the Official Flyer can be accessed below: \nParking Town Hall 2025

DESCRIPTION:June 6 – June 9\, 2025 Williams Lane and East Monument Avenue Closure Information\n\n\n\nAttention Residents and Motorists: As you are aware\, the Hungry Hideaway Outdoor Dining Area will be taking place on East Monument Avenue this weekend. The Borough of Hatboro received a request from the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce and restaurant\, Ross & Company\, to close Williams Lane for outdoor dining beginning on Friday\, June 6th. After reviewing the request\, and the positive impacts it brings to the First Friday event and business community\, the Borough of Hatboro has agreed to assist the Chamber in the closure of Williams Lane and the opening of a second outdoor dining area for First Friday. \nBeginning at 3 PM on Friday\, June 6th\, Williams Lane will be closed to vehicular traffic from York Road to the rear driveway of Ross & Company. Williams Lane will remain closed through 7 AM on Monday\, June 9th. Please note\, once this portion of road is closed\, there will be no through traffic on Williams Lane between York Road and Orchard Avenue. \nResidents and business owners are asked to remove all parked vehicles from Williams Lane prior to 3 PM on June 6th to allow Public Works to set up the dining area. Meter bags will be placed on the meters prior to this time as well. \nPublic Works will remove the dining area and reopen Williams Lane during the morning of June 9th. We are expecting the road to be reopened by 7 AM on Monday\, June 9th; however\, please note the exact time will vary based on staffing and weather. \nAny restaurants who normally receive deliveries via Williams Lane are encouraged to inform delivery companies of this closure if these vendors will be visiting your business any time during these closures. \nThe Borough will be notifying police\, fire\, and EMS personnel of this road closure to assure they are aware in the event of an emergency.
