Domestic Violence – Aggravated Assault:
On Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019, at approximately 1:41pm, Anthony M. Bright, 32 years old, from Hatboro, was arrested on multiple charges when he was found in the 400 block of Jacksonville Road.  The arrest stemmed from two assault incidents on Monday, April 1st, when he assaulted a 32 years old Hatboro woman with whom he resided.  The first incident occurred at 12:54am when he assaulted the victim and took her phone.  He fled prior to the arrival of police.  As he couldn’t be located at that time an arrest warrant was obtained charging him with Simple Assault, Terrorist Threats, Theft, and Harassment.  At approximately 10:50pm, Mr. Bright returned to the victim’s residence and again assaulted her.  He also strangled her and caused numerous injuries that required treatment at the hospital.  He again fled the scene prior to police being notified.  A second arrest warrant was applied for and granted charging him with multiple counts of Aggravated Assault, Strangulation, Unlawful Restraint, False Imprisonment, Stalking, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Terroristic Threats, and Harassment.

On April 2nd, at approximately 1:41pm, Mr. Bright, returned to the residence again and this time was confronted by police. He attempted to flee and physically resisted arrest but was subdued and taken into custody by Hatboro Police.  He was arraigned before District Justice Paul Leo of Hatboro who set bail at $525,000/cash.  He was then incarcerated at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
