UPDATE: On January 4, 2023 Hatboro Police arrested one Joseph Anthony Salters, 19, of the first block of Meetinghouse Road, Horsham, in connection with the below incident. The police investigation, including reviews of camera systems in surrounding businesses near the crime scene, led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Salters. Salters was taken into custody on January 4, 2023, and charged with Robbery, Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition and Receiving Stolen Property.
Pursuant to procedures set forth under Montgomery County’s Pretrial Services Program, Salters was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James P. Gallagher of Bridgeport. Bail was set at $2,500 unsecured. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for January 20, 2023, at 1:30 PM before Magisterial District Judge Paul N. Leo in Hatboro.

Robbery: Hatboro Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at approximately 9:45 PM. A fifteen-year-old Hatboro boy was walking south on N. York Road near E. Monument Avenue when an individual approached him from behind on a bicycle and stole a bag of food he was carrying, while forcing the victim to the ground. The victim was not injured.
The actor was described as a white or Hispanic male wearing a grey colored hooded jacket or sweatshirt, black pants and was wearing a dark colored backpack The subject fled on the bicycle, last observed heading south on N. York Road, then west onto W. Montgomery Avenue.
Police released a video believed to be the actor fleeing the scene. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Hatboro Police Department Detective Division at 215-675-2832
