The Borough of Hatboro Administration Department is now accepting applications for the position of part time clerk.

Position:                                              Part-time Clerk

Hours of Work:                                  20 – 25 hours per week

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A part time clerk at the Borough of Hatboro Administration office assists with the day to day operations of the Borough. The clerk will assist with managing the Borough’s website and social media outlets in addition to other jobs and responsibilities as assigned based on need.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
A part time clerk must possess a high school diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency. Applicant must have excel and word experience along with other office equipment. Experience with WordPress, Facebook, and Public Relations is preferred.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND GIVEN
A part time clerk generally works as a part of the administrative staff to complete tasks. A part time clerk is under the supervision of the Assistant Borough Secretary or Borough Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The basic list is as follows and is not limited to these duties, others may be assigned.

  1. Assisting with the maintenance of the Borough website (makes routine updates, posts, etc. as directed)
  2. Assisting with the maintenance of the Borough Facebook page (makes routine updates, posts, etc. as directed)
  3. Greeting and assisting residents
  4. Answering phone calls
