From Friday, November 8, 2019 through Sunday, November 10, 2019, SEPTA will be renewing the Meadowbrook Avenue grade crossing along the Warminster Line. This new grade crossing will provide a smoother ride across the tracks and remove both cracks and any potholes in the road near the tracks.
As a result, SEPTA will be closing Meadowbrook Avenue between Jacksonville Road and Bonair Avenue on or about 7:00 PM Friday 11-8-19 and reopen the road on or about 8:00 PM on Sunday 11-10-19. Residents and business owners will have access to Meadowbrook Avenue for the duration of work; however; they will not be permitted to cross the railroad tracks.
Traffic will be detoured during the aforementioned times. Westbound traffic will be detoured from Meadowbrook Avenue south on Jacksonville Road to Montgomery Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be detoured from Meadowbrook Avenue at Bonair Avenue to East Montgomery Avenue to Jacksonville Road. These detours will be posted and maintained for the duration of this project. An informational sign will be set up in the area on Friday, October 25, 2019 to inform motorists and residents in the area.
If these closure dates should change, residents will be updated accordingly.
