Over the last month, the Borough conducted a search for Hatboro’s Favorite Teacher. In order to be eligible for this contest, teachers must either teach at a school within Hatboro Horsham and/or live within the Borough itself and teach at another District.
The Borough received an overwhelming number of nominations for this contest and after tallying all of the votes, Heather Brzezinski of Crooked Billet Elementary was selected as Hatboro’s favorite teacher! Heather has been teaching for a total of 26 years and began her career with Hatboro Horsham at Pennypack Elementary School. Upon Pennypack’s closure, Heather was transferred to Crooked Billet Elementary where she currently teaches fourth grade. Heather not only teaches at Crooked Billet but was born and raised right here in town. In fact, she is an alumnus of Crooked Billet Elementary School herself!
Heather is a beloved teacher by students, parents, and colleagues alike and has made a lasting impact on generations of students throughout the years. Those who nominated Heather praised Heather’s passion for teaching and going above and beyond for her students. In her classroom, students not only learn the curriculum, but are taught how to be kind, compassionate human beings. To quote one of the nominations, Heather embodies love, home, and our community all in one.
Borough Council hereby awards Heather Brzezinski a 2025 Pool Membership for being named Hatboro’s Favorite Teacher for the year 2025 and her continued work in shaping future generations of Hatboro on a daily basis.
The Borough is looking to hold this contest yearly to show our gratitude for our local teachers!
