PLEASE NOTE: The Borough of Hatboro is currently not accepting electronic items for recycling.

The Borough of Hatboro is temporarily stopping electronics recycling until further notice. We are currently working with the DEP to obtain updated certifications to continue collecting these items and will immediately inform residents when we are able to resume electronics collection.

As a result, the Borough will no longer be selling bulk trash permits for any electronic items (items including a plug or wires).

In the meantime, residents can contact local stores including Best Buy, Staples, etc. that offer electronics recycling services.

Montgomery County also offers an A-Z of Recycling guide to help residents with disposing of certain items. Residents can select the item they wish to dispose of and the guide will have a list of establishments that accept the item within Montgomery County. This interactive guide can be found here:

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Borough Hall at 215-443-9100.

Pennsylvania Law requires recycling of electronic consumer products. These items include computers, televisions, cell phones and electronic games/devices, or specifically devices smaller than 18 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches that weigh less than 50 pounds.

All residents must call Borough Hall at 215-443-1900 when disposing of these electronic consumer products and schedule a pickup. Please note, all bulk/electronic item pickups must be scheduled at least one business day in advance.
