In 2021, the Borough of Hatboro created a Zoning Sub-Committee comprised of residents, business owners, staff, and professional land planners. This Sub-Committee was tasked with developing an amendment to the Borough’s Zoning Ordinance which has not seen any large updates since the 1980s. The new ordinance will not only modernize the existing zoning regulations but will help shape the future landscape of Hatboro.

The draft for the proposed Zoning Re-Write is now being discussed at the Planning Commission level. The Planning Commission meets the second Tuesday of each month (if necessary) and will be taking a look at the proposed zoning amendment in extreme detail. Residents are highly encouraged to attend these meetings to provide input and feedback on proposed changes. Your opinions, questions, and comments are extremely valuable and will ultimately help create the future zoning regulations for Hatboro.

During each Planning Commission Meeting, the Borough’s County Planner, John Miklos, will be delivering a presentation on proposed changes. Each presentation from these meetings will be uploaded to this webpage for residents to review. As a reminder, the information below reflects proposed changes to the Borough’s Zoning Code as discussed during the Planning Commission meetings. If you have a question regarding any of the information in these slideshows, we encourage you to call Borough Hall at 215-443-9100 or to attend a Planning Commission Meeting (meeting dates can be found on the calendar page of the Borough’s website).
