On December 14, 2025, the Borough of Hatboro and surrounding areas were impacted by a snow storm. This snow storm stopped at approximately 12:00 PM. Per the Borough of Hatboro Code of Ordinances, Section 21-302, Every person in charge or control of any building or lot of land fronting or abutting on a paved sidewalk, fire hydrant, handicapped ramp, and/or curb cut whether as owner, tenant, occupant, lessee, or otherwise, shall remove and clear away or cause to be removed or cleared away, snow and/or ice from a path of at least 36 inches in width from so much of said sidewalk, fire hydrant, handicapped ramp, and/or curb cut as is in front of or abuts on said building or lot of land.
All snow and ice must be removed from sidewalks within 24 hours after the cessation of snow fall. For this storm, all snow and ice must be removed from your sidewalk before 12:00 PM on December 15, 2025.
Please note that you may not shovel snow or ice into any roadway while clearing your walks.
The Fire Marshal will begin canvassing Hatboro after 12:00 PM on December 15th to make sure all walks have been cleared. Any property owners who have not shoveled their sidewalks will be issued a citation in accordance with the ordinance.
