About The Hatboro Pool

The Hatboro Memorial Pool is a beloved part of the Hatboro Community. This public swimming pool is owned and operated by the Borough of Hatboro and is open each summer. Persons wishing to visit the Memorial Pool can purchase a membership for the entire season or purchase a day pass for single-day admission.

Come out and join the fun as we celebrate summer at the Hatboro Memorial Pool.  The water slide is waiting for you. And let’s not forget the neat bubblers in the baby pool and a dew drop that’ll keep you cool even on the hottest days.

The snack stand has an extensive menu, and our lifeguards are courteous and competent. Join the Hatboro Swim Team, learn to swim, or celebrate a birthday, all at the Hatboro Memorial Pool!

The Hatboro Memorial Pool contains a baby pool, mushroom-type water feature, a kiddie rock slide, a deep end with large slide, two pavilions, charcoal grills, and more!

Pool Membership Information

Where do I purchase a membership?

Pool Memberships may be purchased at Borough Hall, 414 S. York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040. Memberships can be purchased Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Memberships will also be available for sale at Community Day at the Hatboro Pool on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 12 PM to 4 PM. Please bring photos of everyone joining the pool with you in a digital format. The Hatboro Pool utilizes a digital database for our membership cards. Photos are mandatory in order to receive your membership cards.

Please note, all child memberships MUST be purchased with an adult membership and the child/adult MUST reside in the same household. There are no exceptions to this policy.

What do I need in order to obtain a membership?

Photos are required for all membership cards, including swim team only memberships. The Borough uses a membership platform that will require digital photos for all members. Members can email photos to staff while in the office or photos can be taken by staff when you purchase a membership. No memberships will be sold without photos.

Memberships can be purchased with cash or check only at this time.

How much will my membership cost?

Membership fees are priced based on the address of the person(s) purchasing the membership. The two main categories of memberships can be found below.

Resident Memberships: To qualify for a resident membership or resident guest pass, the purchaser must pay taxes to Hatboro Borough or live in a home within the Borough’s limits. (Please note, having a Hatboro Mailing Address does not mean you are a resident of Hatboro Borough. The Borough reserves the right to request proof of residency upon use of pool.)

Non-Resident Memberships: All persons who do not pay taxes to the Borough of Hatboro or do not live within the Borough’s limits qualify for the Non-Resident Memberships and Guest Passes. (Please note, having a Hatboro Mailing Address, does not mean you are a resident of Hatboro Borough)

What Are The Pool Rules?

All persons who purchase a pool membership AND who enter as a guest (daily pass) of the Hatboro Pool must adhere to all of the pool rules as follows. All patrons acknowledge understanding of these rules upon entering the facility. Failure to abide by these rules may result in revocation of membership, removal from the facility, and/or further action by the Borough of Hatboro depending on the offense.

  • All children 13 years old and under, are required to have someone 18 years or older accompany the child at all times while in the pool complex.
  • All persons using the pool must shower prior to entering the pool (Under PA Law)
  • All bathers, including babies, must wear bathing suits in the swimming pool.
  • Any child that is not potty-trained must wear swim pants (rubber pants recommended) under their bathing suit and is permitted only in the baby pool.
  • Any person showing evidence of skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal, or ear discharge, open blisters or cuts, shall be refused admittance.
  • Only preschool (under 5) children are allowed in the baby pool. For your child’s safety, please do not leave children unattended in baby pool. Adults must supervise and be present when their children are in the baby pool.
  • Children 12 and under must take and pass a deep end band test in order to swim in areas marked off by ropes and to use the slide (bands are only valid for 1 season). ANY person who does not appear to have swimming skills will be asked to take the swim rest or remain in shallow end.
  • Walk while within the pool area (on deck and grass).
  • No one allowed in the water when the lifeguard is not on duty.
  • No swimming permitted in the slide area except as permitted by the Pool Manager on duty.
  • Diving in the 11’ diving well area ONLY
  • Dressing and undressing will be done in the locker room only for those who choose not to come to the pool clothed to swim. Proper swimming attire (family-type attire) is required.
  • Smoking is NOT  permitted anywhere inside pool grounds or out in front of doorway entrance to pool.
  • The Pool Management will not be responsible for personal property brought into area.
  • Pool Management reserves the right to refuse admission to any persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol and revoke their membership.

General Information

  • No ball or tag playing in the immediate pool area.
  • No dunking, running dives, snapping towels, wrestling, rough housing, or excessive splashing will be permitted in the pool area.
  • Chewing gum is prohibited in the pool area.
  • Please properly dispose of all your trash and recyclables
  • No glass containers may be brought within the pool area.
  • No alcoholic beverages allowed.
  • Vulgarity, profanity, and other objectionable conduct affecting the safety and comfort of others will result in being asked to leave premises by Pool Management, revoked membership or involvement of Law Enforcement
  • No pets or animals.
  • Talking to lifeguards while on duty is strictly prohibited.
  • Adult Swim will be held hourly for 15 minutes (children under 16 must exit)
  • The pool will be cleared/closed 15 minutes before daily closing time
  • In the event of a storm, the pool will be cleared for Thunder and closed for lightning (30 mins). Please exit the pool immediately and take cover (guard house or personal vehicle).
  • No inflatable water paraphernalia, toys, balls, flotation devices, snorkels, face masks, fins, and the like will be allowed in the pool area. Only inter tubes up to 3 feet in diameter will be allowed during adult swim only.

Enforcement of Rules and Regulations

  • Pool privileges/membership may be revoked for failure to comply with all sanitary and safety rules, as well as other regulations herein specified.
  • Pool Management may close or limit the swimming facilities or establish such additional rules and regulations whenever, in its judgment, such action is deemed necessary to desirable for the protection of health or safety or such persons entitled to use such facilities
  • The Borough of Hatboro and Pool Management has to right to request proof of age and residency to any and all patrons of the Hatboro Memorial Pool.

Pool Membership Perks

Becoming a member of the Hatboro Memorial Pool is the best way to spend the summer! Members automatically have access to the following special events and the abilities to schedule parties:

  • Host Parties At The Pool: Host a birthday party, family reunion, picnic and more at the Pool! Only members have the ability to book these parties at the pool. Please contact the Pool Manager Directly for scheduling.
  • Christmas in July
  • Story Time By The Pool
  • Trivia Night
  • Other special events as coordinated by the Pool Manager.

How do I schedule a party at the pool?

Pool parties are exclusive to Memorial Pool members only. The person(s) arranging the pool party must have a valid membership to the pool at the time the party is booked.

All parties at the Hatboro Memorial Pool are priced based on the number of attendees and can be arranged directly through the Manager of the Memorial Pool.

How do I register my child for swim lessons?

Registration for swim lessons is completed onsite at the Hatboro Pool. Upon registration, the pool staff will provide you with a schedule of lesson times and all other additional information pertaining to the lessons.

Join the Hatboro Storm Swim Team

The Hatboro Storm Swim Team is a great way for children to spend their summer. The Storm is a summer swim team whose season runs for six weeks from mid June to end of July.

Storm coaches work on teaching correct technique in all four strokes, swimming skills like dives and turns, and improving endurance. The coaches also emphasize teaching the value of sportsmanship and team spirit – all in a fun and friendly environment. Swimmers compete in swim meets against other teams in the Liberty Swim League on Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings.
