For the last few years, there has been a rising trend of Elder Financial Exploitation targeting older adults. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, elder abuse affects at least 10% of older adults each year in the United States, with millions of older adults losing more than $2.9 billion to financial fraud annually. Hatboro Federal is committed to providing its community with financial literacy. Please join us for a presentation on elder financial abuse. Topics to be discussed include what are the different types of elder financial abuse, examples of common scams, and how you can protect your financial assets and identity.
