On Monday, August 19, 2024, representatives from the Montgomery County Planning Commission delivered a presentation on a draft plan for future improvements to the Pennypack Property. Following the purchase of the Pennypack Property in 2022, the Borough established a Pennypack Steering Committee which was tasked with creating a plan for future improvements to Pennypack. This Committee was comprised of residents from throughout the borough, each with various backgrounds and interests including recreation, wildlife, stormwater, and more. This Committee met for approximately a year and partnered with Montgomery County Planning Commission who helped prepare concept plans that reflected the overall goals of the Steering Committee. The County has been working on this plan for a few months and is now ready for presentation to the public. It is extremely important to note that this plan is a draft document and that it is subject to change based on input from Borough Residents and Borough Council. We encourage residents to review the below presentation to provide comment, ask questions, etc. regarding this draft plan.
The Borough of Hatboro would like to thank the following volunteers and Steering Committee members who helped bring this plan to life:
Jennifer Hartigan, Suzanne Dougherty, Susan McErlean, Rich Seeds, Rich Souslin, Nicole Reichner, Lisa Litchko, Laura Lasher, Kevin Spearing, Kelly A’Harrah, John Fears, Jennifer Cox, James Pease, Joe Rocci, Judith Swanson, Cathy Weitz, Brynn Zwickel, Brian Szlachta, Bill Tompkins, Ashley Sestito, Alexander Myers, Kristen Sock, Nicole McMenamin, and Diane Hegele
