Duties of the Commission

The Planning Commission of the Borough of Hatboro reviews all proposed amendments to the Borough Zoning Code/Building Code, applications for Zoning Changes, Subdivision and Land Development applications, applications for variances or special exceptions made to the Zoning Hearing Board, and any other duties required by Borough Council.

The Planning Commission is also tasked with working alongside the Borough Historian and Historical Commission to plan and encourage the preservation of landmarks of historic interest and to develop proposals to enhance the utility and aesthetics of such landmarks.
