Owner Ernie Pio has been in the restaurant business for over 35 years and decided to bring his culinary expertise to Hatboro when he opened Street Food Sandwich Shop in 2021. Ernie instantly fell in love with Hatboro’s old town feel and the high level of foot traffic within the Borough, so when he stumbled upon his storefront location at 7 S. York Road, it was a perfect match! Over a year after opening, Hatboro has equally fallen in love with his cuisine!
Street Food Sandwich Shop is a concept derived straight from Ernie’s mom’s cookbook recipes and the Olney neighborhood he grew up in. “We serve real food made with passion,” stated Ernie, “And it has a ‘back in the day’ authenticity that makes our offerings unique.”

Street Food Sandwich Shop’s main location (located at 7 S. York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040) is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 A.M. until 7 P.M., Friday and Saturday 11 A.M. until 9 P.M., and Sunday from 11 A.M. until 7 P.M. (closed on Mondays). In addition to their main storefront on York Road, Street Food Sandwich shop is also operating two snack stand locations: one and the Hatboro Little League Complex (2 Blair Mill Road, Hatboro, PA 19040) and the Hatboro Memorial Pool (330 W. Moreland Avenue, Hatboro, PA 19040). Both of these snack stand locations offer a variety of options including classic Street Food sandwiches. If you are visiting the Hatboro Pool, make sure to check out the snack stand and try some of Street Food Sandwich Shop’s many offerings! Or, if you are visiting Eaton/Memorial Park, you can purchase food from Street Food Sandwich Shop without entering the pool facility.
