Coming Soon to Hatboro: Montgomery County’s First WalkWorks Route

The WalkWorks initiative is a program created by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health Center for Public Health Practice that encourages fun, educational, community based walking routs and walking groups. These walking routes are designed to increase community involvement, public health, and attract visitors to communities throughout Pennsylvania.

Through the WalkWorks program, the Borough of Hatboro will develop at least 1 walking route through town that will be accessible to individuals of all ages and abilities that will showcase Hatboro’s history, parks/open spaces, and small town charm. To accompany the walking route, Hatboro will also be developing a sustainable walking group to utilize the WalkWorks trail and benefit the overall health of our community.
