The Borough of Hatboro is extremely excited to announce that we were chosen to participate in the Commonwealth’s Shared Energy Manager Program. This program provides local governments across Pennsylvania with practical support from a professional energy manager to conduct energy assessments, renewable energy studies, and other services to implement climate action plans.
In November of 2020 the Borough of Hatboro adopted an Energy Transition Plan which outlines necessary steps for Hatboro to transition 100% of its municipal operations to clean, renewable energy by 2050. The Shared Energy Manager Program will provide technical assistance to the Borough to obtain quantitative and qualitative data necessary to begin the transition to renewable energy. A copy of the Borough’s Energy Transition Plan can be found on the Borough’s website here: https://myhatboro.org/wp-content/uploads/FINAL-ENERGY-TRANSITION-PLAN.pdf
We are incredibly grateful to be selected for this program and cannot thank the Department of Environmental Protection enough for this opportunity!
