February 23, 2026 Snow Storm Updates

Update: The Snow Emergency has been lifted effective 4:30 PM on February 23rd.

As residents are aware, Hatboro and surrounding areas were impacted by a large snow storm on February 22-23, 2026. This snow storm has impacted operations for the Borough as follows:

Trash and recycling collection were cancelled for Monday, February 23, 2026. As a result, the Borough will be holding a special recycling only collection on Wednesday, February 25th for residents who have a regular Monday recycling date. Residents impacted should only place recyclables to the curb for collection on 2/25. Trash will be collected during your next scheduled trash day (Thursday, February 26th).

The Borough Council meeting scheduled for February 23, 2026 has been cancelled. While Hatboro Public Works has done a superb job of clearing snow from the roads, staff and professionals traveling from other areas cannot yet do so safely. Borough Council will be holding their rescheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 7:00 PM. This meeting will be held at the Borough of Hatboro Municipal Building, 414 S. York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040. A copy of the meeting agenda will be available on the Borough website prior to the meeting.

Residents and business owners are reminded that all snow and ice must be removed from sidewalks, walkways, and hydrants within 24 hours of the cessation of snowfall. When removing snow, do not shovel or plow snow back into the roadways as it is a violation of the Borough Ordinance. Please find an area on your property to place the snow so it does not impact public streets or sidewalks.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Borough Hall at 215-443-9100.
