Hatboro Disaster Emergency Extended

Based on the actions by Governor Wolf and the ongoing COVID-19 situation, The Borough Office of Emergency Management and Borough Council is extending the disaster emergency for the Borough of Hatboro for an additional 7 days at this time. While we still have no known cases of COVID-19 in Hatboro at this time, extending this emergency allows us to continue being proactive.

This declaration allows the Borough to formally activate our all hazards emergency plan, eases purchasing and contracting requirements and increases our ability to recover costs should state or federal assistance become available.

Please remember, declaring this disaster is not intended to cause undue panic or alarm, its good practice in the current situation.

As a reminder, public access to Borough Hall is limited. Borough Staff will be available by phone, email and limited hours in Borough Hall. We will address our residents needs on a case by case basis regarding inspections, permits, bulk trash collection, tax payments and other functions. We strongly recommend calling Borough Hall or emailing staff prior to visiting Borough Hall to conduct business. For taxes, payments can be made on line or you can mail. If you would like a receipt please indicate when sending your payment. All tax related questions can be directed to April Mount, Tax Collector email to amounttaxcollector@aol.com.

All non essential meetings will be cancelled.

There will still be trash and recycling collection at this time. Please stay tuned to this page for any changes. Please place your trash out as normal on your normal days but please be patient on collection days, you may not see our employees in the early morning as is normal practice. Collection could be delayed.

For all police, fire or medical calls please call 911.

The Borough will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary. In the meantime please take all precautions issued by the CDC especially our older citizens and anyone with chronic medical conditions.

Please visit the CDC website for more information on COVID-19.

The Borough still needs to provide essential services but the health, safety and welfare of our employees and residents is very important during this time.

The phone number for Borough Hall is 215-443-9100, for email you may send all emails to either Diane Hegele at dhegele@myhatboro.org or Deena DeRenzis at dderenzis@myhatboro.org.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.
