It is with deep regret and sadness that the Borough of Hatboro announces the sudden death of Police Sergeant James C. Petrik this morning, Monday, March 30th, 2020. Sgt. Petrik fell ill suddenly yesterday. This is an unfortunate and tragic event and was non COVID-19 related.

Sergeant Petrik was 46 years old and a 21 year veteran of the Hatboro Police Department. Prior to joining the Hatboro PD, Jim was a police dispatcher with neighboring Horsham Township PD.

Sergeant Petrik was a also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

He is survived by his wife Lynn and 3 teenaged sons; Jimmy, Jason & Justin. Funeral arrangements and services will be announced when available.
