The Philadelphia Eagles have progressed to Super Bowl LVII being held on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 6:30 PM. Dating back to the 1970’s, Hatboro’s York Road Business District has been known for large celebrations following championship wins of Philadelphia sports franchises. While many of these spontaneous events have been largely celebratory and peaceful, there have been occasions when unruly individuals have engaged in behaviors leading to property damage. Accordingly, the Hatboro Police Department and our public safety partners have plans that include placing additional officers on duty in our business district should the Eagles win the Super Bowl.

As a precaution, we recommend business and property owners secure any items that may be outside of their respective properties. For example, we recommend removing moveable items such as sign boards, private trash containers, and unsecured furniture from sidewalks to a location inside your business.

We also ask any establishments that are licensed to serve alcoholic beverages have adequate staffing on duty to prevent customers from leaving your respective establishments with open containers of alcoholic beverages, especially bottles, glass, and cans.

Businesses along York Road will receive hand delivered copies of this notice directly from the Hatboro Police Department in addition to the Borough’s online notices.
