Pedestrian Improvement Projects Update (1-22-2024 through 2-3-2024)

York and Summit: On January 22, 2024, Marino Corporation and Danella Construction (contractor for Verizon) will be working at the intersection of York Road and Summit Avenue to relocate an existing fiber optic line. While this work is taking place, there will be a complete closure of Summit Avenue from 9 AM to 3 PM. Marino has informed the Borough that Summit Avenue will also be closed as needed from 9 AM through 3 PM on Tuesday, January 23rd through Thursday, January 25th. Crews will continue to work at York and Summit on Friday, January 26th, January 29th, February 1st, and February 2nd; however, no closures of Summit Avenue are currently expected for these days.

York and Williams: Marino Corporation will be working at the intersection of York Road and Williams Lane from Monday, January 29th through Friday, February 2, 2024 from 9 AM to 3 PM. At this time no road closures are expected at York and Williams; however, there will be temporary traffic restrictions in the area while work is taking place.

Jacksonville and Meadowbrook: Marino Corporation will be working at the intersection of Jacksonville and Meadowbrook on Tuesday, January 23rd through Tuesday, January 30th from 9 AM to 3 PM. The Borough is working with the school district to ensure the safety of students, parents, teachers, etc. due to the project’s proximity to school bus stops and Crooked Billet Elementary. There are no expected road closures at this time.

Please note, all work mentioned above is weather dependent and is subject to delay. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible to avoid delays in the area. All Hatboro Businesses continue to be open and operating while work is taking place. Please remember to shop small, shop local and shop Hatboro now and always.
