Press Release, December 27, 2023 – At approximately 12:15 PM on December 27, 2023, the Borough of Hatboro observed a sheen within the creek located in Celano Park. The Hatboro Police Department, Enterprise Fire Company, Hatboro Public Works, and Hatboro’s Fire Marshal promptly responded to the issue and determined that the sheen was a result of a diesel leak in Warminster Township. Emergency Personnel immediately worked to notify appropriate agencies including the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and place booms in the creek to prevent further spreading. At this time the appropriate agencies are working to clean up the spill and remediate the issue. Residents may see personnel in or around the creek at Celano park and upstream in Warminster Township while this cleanup work is taking place.
