The Borough of Hatboro has noticed an influx of residents and businesses throughout the Borough who are not adhering to the Refuse Collection Requirements. With warmer weather upon us and spring/summer events quickly approaching, the Borough is issuing reminders on the proper refuse practices to all properties in the Borough:

• Trash and Recycling of any kind cannot be placed on the curb prior to 7:00 PM on the evening before your collection day.
• Residents and Business owners must remove trash and recycling containers from the curb prior to 7:00 PM on the day of their collection. Containers should be removed from the curb and stored in a clean and sanitary area behind the building line. 
• Residents and Business owners may not import trash into the Borough from any other municipality.
• Bulk trash of any kind should not be placed on the curb without a permit or more than 24 hours prior to the special collection date.
• If your property is not eligible for trash collection, you may not place trash on the curb for collection by Public Works.

Following these guidelines helps maintain attractive neighborhoods and walkable downtown for residents and visitors alike!
