Warminster Road, South Chester, Jefferson Ave PECO Work Taking Place May 2023

Attention residents and motorists: PECO will be beginning two additional gas main projects beginning in early May 2023.

– Beginning May 1, 2023 PECO will be replacing natural gas equipment on South Chester Avenue between West Lehman Avenue and Williams Lane.

– Beginning May 9, 2023 PECO will be replacing natural gas equipment on Warminster Road between Corinthian Avenue and County Line Road and Corinthian Avenue between Jefferson Avenue and County Warminster Road.

Work for both of these projects will take place Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM. Both projects are expected to conclude in July 2023. Most of the work will be performed outdoors; however, in order to safely connect properties to the new natural gas main, PECO or a PECO contractor will need to turn off natural gas service to properties and enter residents’ properties to relight their appliances after the connection.

Prior to work beginning, customers should mark any customer owned facilities present on the property. Examples of customer owned facilities include, but are not limited to, water services, sewer laterals, septic tanks, underground cable, drainage pipe, security lines, private lighting, dog fences, and sprinkler systems.

PECO contractor, Riggs Distler, will be performing both projects. Should residents have any questions, please contact Cole Boozel of Riggs Distler directly at 609-519-9812.

If you have any other questions about this work and/or would like to provide any supplemental information, please call PECO Work Inquiries (610) 832-6420 or email GasWorkInquiries@exeloncorp.com.

PECO will be distributing notices containing this information directly to impacted customers as well.
