The Borough has some great news to share!
We were notified today that the West Moreland Avenue Bridge is expected to reopen in early November. While an exact reopening date has not yet been provided, the County has indicated that the project is currently running approximately 14 months ahead of schedule.
Please keep in mind that there is still the potential for unforeseen delays. As we approach the end of paving season, weather conditions could impact the remaining work. Items that must still be completed prior to reopening the roadway include, but are not limited to:
Paving
Line striping
Guide rail installation
Barrier wall railing installation
Signage installation
In addition, site cleanup activities are ongoing as the contractor prepares to demobilize by the end of this month.
Please continue to follow our page for additional updates as they become available and for any changes to the anticipated schedule.
This is tremendous news for our community, and we are very pleased to see the project progressing ahead of schedule. We appreciate everyone’s patience throughout the construction process and look forward to reopening this important roadway connection.
