Business Spotlight: Deleted Scene Tattoo Removal

For Hannah Stevens, owner of Deleted Scene Tattoo Removal, helping someone remove a tattoo is often more than just helping them get rid of a “mistake” it’s about helping people feel more confident and happy in their skin.  And that’s just one of the many things she loves about her new business that she opened seven months ago at 136 S. York Road in Hatboro.

A proud Hatboro resident Hannah was eager to “open shop” and provide her services to the community in which she lives and to become part of the greater business community in the Borough.

While her laser tattoo removal business is relatively new, Hannah has had a presence in the Hatboro business scene for the last three years as part of the Cosmic Primate Tattoo family. And, while her new business is housed in Cosmic Primate’s storefront location, Hannah works with tattoo studios across the region to help their clients remove or re-work existing tattoos to create a clean (or new canvas) to allow for a tattoo free look or to continue the artistic tattoo process.

The name “Deleted Scene” is in reference to Hannah’s passion for movies and is a play on words for physically erasing an image.  She has been involved in the tattoo and body modification industry for a long time, and started getting tattooed at age 16 (many of which are now covered after being treated by laser she reports).

“After receiving so much laser tattoo removal myself, it made me realize what an impact in can make on someone’s life. If I can help someone make a positive change in their appearance and confidence, it makes me really happy,” says Hannah. “My favorite part of providing this service is meeting all types of people with all different backgrounds! Some clients are comfortable sharing the reason they want tattoo removal. I never pry, and there is absolutely no judgement! I love being able to give them a safe space to share if they choose, because for some it can be very emotional, upsetting, and/or a powerful life changing event.”

Deleted Scene offers both Full Removal or Lightening of Tattoos. Full removal can be applied to an entire tattoo or selective removal of a portion of the tattoo. Lightening is a great option for coverup tattoos. This helps a client and their preferred tattoo artist achieve a coverup without limiting their options. Hannah received her laser related certifications from New Look Laser College, which now proudly hang in her studio. She continually educates herself by regularly taking classes and updating her technique and equipment as new technology surfaces.

A large percentage of Deleted Scene’s clientele come from referrals and the great reviews Hannah has received on-line.  A self-proclaimed “people person,” Hannah loves building a rapport with clients to provide them with the best experience possible.

On a more personal note, Hannah has a Bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy & Behavioral Psychology and worked as the Director of a center for children and young adults with special needs for 10 years before switching careers and moving to Hatboro.  She recently adopted a senior dog (with whom she is already obsessed) and she enjoys spending her extra time advocating and volunteering for shelters. She is a big fan of pinup culture and admits that she is constantly in search of the perfect red lipstick!

“I am a proud sole owner & operator,” says Hannah.  “As a woman-owned business, it has been a wonderful adventure! I’m extremely driven and I’m really enjoying the opportunity to support myself, and my family, AND I also am dedicated to giving back to the community.”

Hannah has a Give Back Program that includes free removal of cancer/radiation dot tattoos, human trafficking survivor branding, and gang-related/racist tattoos. She also offers special discounts to groups like veterans, healthcare workers, and others throughout the year.
