The Montgomery County Hero Fund has partnered with the Borough of Hatboro to raise funds for the Family of Police Sergeant James C. Petrik who passed away suddenly on March 30th, 2020. 100% of the funds raised by the Montgomery County Hero Fund will go directly to the family of Sgt. Petrik.

Sergeant Petrik was 46 years old and a 21 year veteran of the Hatboro Police Department. Prior to joining the Hatboro PD, Jim was a police dispatcher with neighboring Horsham Township PD.

Sergeant Petrik was also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He is survived by his wife Lynn and 3 teenaged sons; Jimmy, Jason and Justin.

The Montgomery County Hero Fund is a non-profit organization that provides immediate and ongoing relief and services to any Law Enforcement Officer, Military Personnel Firemen, Paramedics and/or First Responders or their loved ones as a result of tragedy on duty in or in service of the people of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The mission of the Montgomery County Hero Fund is to immediately guarantee that the acts of a Hero will never be forgotten and that we will always rise to the challenge of making sure sacrifice in the line of duty will never be in vain and that Law Enforcement Officers, Military Personnel, Firemen, Paramedics and/or First Responders and their loved ones will be protected and cared for in the event of tragedy.
