Job Description:

The Borough of Hatboro (Pop. 7900), a Borough in Montgomery County PA is seeking applications for a full-time Public Works Superintendent. The Superintendent is a member of the Senior Management Team reporting to the Borough Manager and is responsible for providing leadership in public works operation and maintenance through planning, directing, managing, and overseeing the activities and operations of several divisions within the Public Works Department.

The Superintendent provides oversight of the functional areas of the department including highway operations, trash, recycling and yard waste collection, snow removal, capital improvement project management/administration, parks and facilities maintenance (including municipal swimming pool), fleet management, and other public services to enhance the quality of life in the Borough.

Additional evening or weekend hours may be required for meetings, projects, emergencies, and other special events. Competitive salary with an excellent benefits package.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in public works
  • A minimum of 3 years demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid PA driver’s license
  • No felony convictions or conviction of any morals crime
  • Satisfactory Pennsylvania PA Criminal Background Check
  • Equivalent experience, training and education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered
