Volunteer Wanted: Environmental Advisory Council

Are you interested in serving your community? The Environmental Advisory Council is looking for a volunteer to serve on their board as a non-voting member.

About The EAC: Established in 2020, the Borough of Hatboro Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) is an appointed board comprised of Borough officials and residents who devote themselves to protecting Hatboro’s environment. The EAC’s focus is on protecting the environment and improving sustainability. The EAC researches environmental issues and funding sources in order to advise Borough officials as they consider undertaking projects that preserve, protect, and support the natural environment. The EAC provides education on environmental issues through its website and activities.

About The Position: This is a non-voting member position which means that the volunteer will be able to participate in discussions and provide valuable input; however, the volunteer will not be able to participate in any formal voting of the board. Volunteers must be able to attend monthly meetings of the EAC (which take place on the first Monday of each month at 7 PM) and must be able to dedicate time outside of monthly meetings to assist with events, programming, etc. of the EAC as needed.

How to Apply: Interested residents must send a letter of interest to Borough Manager, Diane Hegele containing the following information: Name, Address, and why you are interested in serving on the EAC. Letters can be submitted via email to dhegele@myhatboro.org or in person at Borough Hall, 414 S. York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.

Letters of interest should be submitted no later than Friday, February 23rd at 4:30 PM. If the Borough does not receive any interested applicants, this deadline will be extended.
