Due to the success of the first two weekends of Hatboro’s Hungry Hideaway, the outdoor dining area on Williams Lane is here to stay! The special Williams Lane Dining area will continue each weekend (Thursday through Sunday) for the duration of the Summer, or as demand continues.
As a result, Williams Lane will be closed to traffic from York Road to the rear entrance of Bernie’s from Thursdays through Sundays the following weekends:
June 18th – June 21st | July 30th – August 2nd |
June 25th – June 28th | August 6th – August 9th |
July 2nd – July 5th | August 13th – August 16th |
July 9th – July 12th | August 20th – August 23rd |
July 16th – July 19th | August 27th – August 30th |
July 23rd – July 26th | September 3rd – September 6th |
All attendees must practice social distancing when attending this dining area and when leaving their home.
Please note, there will be no through traffic on Williams Lane between York Road and Orchard Avenue during the above-mentioned timeframes. Please make sure all parked cars are moved from Williams Lane prior to Thursday of each week to allow Public Works to set up the dining area. Meter bags will be placed in the area to assure meter stalls cannot be used Thursdays during setup.
This initiative was created to help local businesses while we enter the Governor’s reopening phases and is a success thus far. In order to continue helping local businesses flourish in their time of need, the dining initiative will continue throughout the summer. The dining area will continue to be filled with picnic tables to allow patrons of businesses to purchase takeout from their favorite restaurants and enjoy an outdoor meal.
Any restaurants who normally receive deliveries via Williams Lane are encouraged to inform delivery companies of this closure if these vendors will be visiting during the above-mentioned timeframes.
The Borough of Hatboro has notified police, fire, and EMS personnel of this road closure to assure they are aware in the event of an emergency.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and we hope to see everyone enjoying their favorite foods with a side of fresh air this summer.
