Special Council Meeting Minutes
August 4th, 2021

CALL TO ORDER: President Bollendorf called the special meeting of Council to order at 7:00 PM.

ATTENDANCE: President Bollendorf, Vice President Stockton, Councilpersons Benjamin, Ostrander, Reichner, McMenamin, Mayor Schultz, Manager Hegele, Solicitor Geisler and Police Chief Gardner.

ABSENT: Councilwoman Anzinger was absent.

PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.

CONDITIONAL OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT: Councilwoman Ostrander stated the Chief has sent out a recommendation of 2 candidates for the position of police officer for the Borough of Hatboro. The chief spoke and indicated the civil service commission met and have certified the eligibility list. The Chief stated that a conditional offer will be given to both upon successful completion of the background process.

Vice President Stockton made a motion to issue a conditional offer of employment to two candidates for the position of Police Officer with the Borough of Hatboro, the motion was seconded by Councilwoman Reichner, all ayes. Motion carried 6-0.

OLD BUSINESS: There was none to come before Council.

NEW BUSINESS: There was none to come before Council.

UPDATES: President Bollendorf stated that it is time to begin the 2022 budget. He would like to have a preliminary budget prepared for the October Council meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.

ADJOURNMENT: The August 4th, 2021 Special Meeting of Council was adjourned at 7:03 PM.
